Starbucks has a new gourmet hot chocolate coming out! Nearly 400 calories in six ounces -- the sure sign of something that will taste yummy!

Latest addition to my wishlist (courtesy of Bookslut): Godzilla on my Mind: Fifty Years of the King of Monsters. I love it when books are written about my heroes. :-)

Meanwhile, in Sacramento: "It's an inappropriate use of city equipment, obviously."

What's sadder? Bill O'Reilly's lame-ass sexual fantasies, as reported in the lawsuit mentioned over at the Smoking Gun, or the fact that he can't tell the difference between falafel and a loofah?

Oh, no more Britney Spears -- it's now Britney Federline. I love how she makes her decision to change her name sound like a defiant act.

Scrubs fans! Ted (the attorney)'s a cappella group that appears periodically? They've got a CD! And the CDBaby site has a streaming MP3 of them covering the show's theme song. And Underdog. :-)

How about gourmet chocolate chips? forestcats found that CostCo suddenly started carrying our favorite chocolate (Ambrosia's Blue Ribbon bittersweet dark chocolate chips), which she then bought in great quantities for the upcoming holiday baking extravaganza...

And I'm definitely looking forward to The Incredibles (which is remarkable, since I usually don't care much for cartoon comedies). They showed a preview of it at ComicCon this year, and it looks absolutely magnificent. (Granted, not a patch on the preview of Neil Gaiman's Mirrormask, but hey--it's hard to match Gaiman for genius).

Riley is a jerk, but I'm not too impressed with the lady in question either. Supposedly he harasses her, she leaves and gets a job at CNN, and then begs to come back and work for him again? It sounds like she's playing the victim. If she'd just stayed at CNN, and coughed up the tapes she must have of him, then I'd say she had a slam dunk.

Oh, there's no question that she's being opportunistic here (and she may also be guilty of blackmail). But if she really taped those conversations, no question that Riley's got much to answer for (and no, none of it's as bad as anything he's actually done on air, but standards are weird).

Must admit I've yet to see Iron Giant. I guess I ought to? ;) I think it's just that I prefer Neil's style and genre -- Mirrormask just looked phenomenal. Surreal fantasy; an acid trip for kids is apparently how one previewer described it. But yeah... Incredibles looks like a blast. The clip they showed was hilarious.

We used to go up to Wisconsin when we'd visit Chicago to specifically buy them, and lug 20-30#s of chocolate for our annual load; however, the company was bought out, and for a few years now, the only way to get any was in 50# lots intended for restaurants. Too much cash all at once, so we hadn't restocked in a while. forestcats was delighted with the find, and couldn't wait to show them off to me....
