Yay -- we had a visit from [livejournal.com profile] elionwyr last night! She's every bit as nifty in real life as on LJ!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that we saw [livejournal.com profile] envoy twice this weekend! Also a wonderful thing!

Today's Amazon wishlist addition: The Director's Cut of Daredevil. Yeah, I know. Lots of folks hated this. But I adored the original movie, finding the lack of pacing near the middle and end the only major flaw. Adding twenty minutes should fix that. No, it's not an A-level movie, but it's amazingly fun cheese, and the actors are all clearly having a blast. And there's the little matter of Jennifer Garner in leather, of course. I can't believe I didn't realize this was coming out.

Yesterday's baseball: Wow. Nothing else can be said about either game. Just a pair of amazing games. I still hold '86 and '91 as the best postseasons ever, but this is already on a 1985 level (complete with a disgruntled Cardinal injuring himself after a foolish tantrum), and the World Series hasn't started.

Rumor of the day -- the U2 limited edition iPod..

In two days, we'll be on an airplane to AZ, and in five, we'll be getting married!

I'll be picking up Daredevil around holiday time. I thought it was a decent adaptation.

We really have been getting our money's worth out of the play offs, with the exception of the CA times sucking like Hoovers. This may have been the most exciting series in baseball history.

And a preemptive Huzzah on the marriage.

I've been waiting on the DD director's cut forever! They announced it what? A year ago? Given its release date, I'll either buy it to celebrate a Kerry victory or as a consolation for four more years of despair.

Like you, I know the original flick has its flaws, but I loved it anyway. When I say I liked it more than the original Spider-Man, people look at me like I was an alien. I notice this has an R rating - do you happen to know if the extra footage is sex or violence?

It was really cool to get to see both of you again! If it wasn't for the de cluttering of my existance, I'd have totally absconded with your library.

What I really liked about the movie was how Colin Farrell protrayed Bullseye. That character really stole the show.

Tadhg is SO irked with Apple right now.. according to however people figure the way they do their stuff, Apple would have likely announced a new ibook at that big convention thingie. (In France? Dunno, late august thing.)

They did not, so he got me mine.

A month before this announcement. Heh.

I rather liked it, too. I thought it held together pretty well, and Michael Clarke Duncan... mmmmm

So you're all hyped about Garner playing Elektra, right? I forget when it's due to come out, though...
