Thursday stuff
Dec. 2nd, 2004 10:07 amLet's start with the important thing. You can finally pre-order the issue of Shooting Star Comics with Shayara! That's Shooting Star Comics Anthology #6, listed in Previews, your Westfield catalog, or whatever your local comics store uses to pre-order! See what
shadesong and
xanadumalion mhave put together -- it rocks muchly. And you also get to support
seanhtaylor!
Spent last night practicing for Trashmasters with Gerry,
jet_li_wannabe, and Steve. Found that I've got some surprising depths of knowledge (who knew I could single-handedly nail a three-part bonus on the pre-2001 works of Naomi Watts?), and some areas with serious needs.
Surfing the net, I see that *gasp* Giambi used steroids! I'm shocked. Shocked and appalled! But at least there's still no evidence that Barry Bonds used 'em. Because that would shake my faith in the fundamental spirit of the game.
Speaking of New York baseball, I repeat my plea to the Mets to not sign Pedro. I'm hoping that Pedro's just using the Mets to get a better offer from Steinbrenner.
Hey, look! Microsoft has their own blog site! Only usable if you have a .net Passport, of course.
I've talked before about how much I love Frontline, one of the best damned shows on TV. This week's episode on the diet culture in America is fascinating and nicely balanced. Catch it if you can.
I just added a cookbook about toast to my Amazon wishlist. Because toast is good. The toast episode was also one of my favorite Good Eats from this season. mmmm, toast.
Not much else going on, other than work. Am tired. Need caffeine.
