Tuesday stuff
Dec. 21st, 2004 08:28 amTaking a day off today, as I'm in "use it or lose it" territory.
Elayna read enough of Wizards of the Game (which she'll finish today, I hope, because I want to read it, dammit!) to earn a viewing of the third Harry Potter movie. I'll be using that time for housecleaning and other fun stuff.
Speaking of Harry Potter, July 16, folks!
Two football notes: With TO out, anyone think the NFC even has a shot in the big game? And I've got mixed feelings about last night's game. On the one hand, I can't hate Miami as much as I usually do, as they're just too pathetic to hate. OTOH, a loss like this can either demoralize a team, or fire them up. And I don't want a fired-up NE team playing my Jets next weekend, unless Gang Green gets just as fired up.
We caught up on some TV yesterday, including the last new Desperate Housewives of the year, which was a blast, and three episodes of Venture Brothers, including the Christmas Special, which contained one of the most fucked-up scenes I've ever witnessed. I was in pain from laughing at it. Normally, I'd be sad about the lack of new TV over the next few weeks, but since ABC is being kind enough to rerun double episodes of Lost, and UPN is showing two of the Veronica Mars eps we missed over the next two weeks, my Tivo will still be a happy place.
Given the vast amount of spam that hits my gmail account (and most of it hits my inbox, because they have spam filters that are for shite, although they've gotten better in the last few weeks), this article offers some nice tips.
That's all. Off to do stuff.
