Sunday, post-springing ahead
Apr. 3rd, 2005 12:28 pmIt's after noon, but my body insists that it's still 11:13 AM. Of course, this same body insists that Cheez-Its are health food, so we all know how much it can be trusted.
The Pope died yesterday. I'm not sure I can say anything that wasn't already said better by
theferrett here or by
trouvera here. So I won't try.
That said, it would be lovely if the American media got their collective heads out of the Pope and Terri Schiavo's dead arses and actually started paying front-page attention to stories like the administration's acknowledged "major intelligence failure" or the continuing ethical sewer-dive and attempted rape of the Constitution by the House Majority Leader. Dead is dead, people -- let's worry about the living a little bit, shall we?
Speaking of living, the baseball season begins tonight -- that magical time of the year when every team, even the Cubs, thinks that it's still in the race.
Today's plan: Clean the house a bit, drink more coffee, go shopping, maybe game once I get around to calling
