Baby's first completed video game!
Apr. 28th, 2005 09:53 amLast night, Elayna ran in to tell me that she'd completed her first ever PS2 game -- she beat Shrek 2! Granted, we're not talking about the world's hardest game here, but she did it without any help at all (and since we don't let her get more than 1/2 an hour a day unless she reads to earn time, she hasn't exactly had the chance to just veg out and focus on the game like some people (like, oh, yours truly) might do).
Of course, she didn't get every single snapshot or coin, but she still did damned well.
And tonight, her school band is playing for the PTA.
Other fun Thursday things:
Finally watched this week's Deadwood. Damn, what a fine show.
Speaking of fine, I adore Ted Rall's latest cartoon.
Over in Kingdom of Loathing, I finally hit level 15! Woohoo! And I've opened 47 Lucky Surprise Eggs (gotten four uncommons, including the meat car), which means another trophy soon! Haven't been playing a whole lot, given lack of time, but I've been trying to spend at least a little time on the airship.
Last night's Lost: The Journey blew chunks. It was the worst sort of recap show -- one that provided nothing new for long-time viewers, and not nearly enough for people unfamiliar with the show.
Finally, more movie trailer goodness:
High Tension, which looks quite nifty, and Land of the Dead, because, well, Romero and zombies!
