Unilever Ice Cream will produce and market water ice pops for several premier Marvel character franchises, including Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Incredible Hulk, Captain America and both the classic comic and the movie versions of the Fantastic Four.

In other words, thousands of kids will now have the opportunity to lick Invisible Girl until she, well, melts.

Or to suck on Wolverine.

In a slightly less revolting part of that press release, the people behind the Wolfgang Puck heat-up-in-a-can coffee will do a similar one with hot chocolate with Marvel heroes on the packaging.

"Suck on Wolverine" just sounds wrong. Just seven shades of wrong.

Unilever is a bad company. They do lots of unnecessary animal testing with their soap and beauty products. Just though I'd let you know, in case you don't know but you care.

All the more reason to buy from them IMO. I don't want humans to be the first test victims of anything, thank you very much.

Animal testing of hygiene and beauty products is cruel and unnecessary. For the most part these companies really, actually already know what works and what doesn't, what is harmful and what isn't. The constant testing and retesting of products is really not much more than a messed-up PR scheme to make people think "New and Better!" products are constantly being developed. With more reputable companies, they DO use human test subjects if something new really needs to be tested. People get paid to be subject to testing like that. An animal does not have the same physiology as a human. What IS GOOD for them can be very not good for us, and vice versa. Testing on animals is unreliable. I can send you plenty of links if you're interested.

Shouldn't it be "lick Invisible Girl until she, well, disappears?" It's more groan-worthy when you put it that way. Too bad they're not making Annihilus. I want to taste Annihilus' Cosmic Rod.
