Gah. So, two days left until the upgrade from hell. Which may, if all goes well, turn out to be nothing, but, if things go to hell in a handbasket, will make this one of the suckiest weekend imaginable.

Oh, and the co-worker who was supposed to really handle the presentation today for the IT briefing just called in sick, which means I've got the ball with less than an hour to go. Fucking lovely.

That will, of course, kill two hours of the time I should have been using to create/update documentation.

Yeah, today's going to be a blast.

[livejournal.com profile] shadesong is out sick today as well. My poor love. :-(

On the plus side, Lost last night was damned fine. And I got yesterday's Final Jeopardy because of me L33T knowledge of Steven Brust books. And I still haven't given a red cent to George Lucas, nor do I plan to, no matter how many hyper-defensive reviews of the third film I see. The New Yorker review, incidentally, is great.

Off to accomplish things. Or not, as the case might be.

Is your co-worker really *sick* or did s/he just go see Star Wars last night?

Think about how close of a shave they'd get though. :D

From the N'Yorker review:

"The general opinion of “Revenge of the Sith” seems to be that it marks a distinct improvement on the last two episodes, “The Phantom Menace” and “Attack of the Clones.” True, but only in the same way that dying from natural causes is preferable to crucifixion."

Me-Ow!

that review IS great.

Is it my imagination, or are the Star Wars fanatics more touchy that the folks from PETA? I mean, I liked the original series too, but I'm not blind to the fact that the recent films have been an inferior product.

Use Machiavellian machinations. Do not attempt to use machismo; it kills, but it does so in the wrong direction.

Oh, and if it was the last chapter, you could kill someone with a Deus ex Machina.
