Miss Kid, dedicated reader
May. 27th, 2005 09:20 amLate Wednesday night (actually, more like early Thursday morning), Elayna wandered into the room to tell me that she'd had a bad dream. I hugged her, told her to get back to sleep, etc., and she asked if she could read. I figured she'd read until she got tired again, as I often do.
Nope. She read from 1:30 until 6:30, when it was time to get up to come into the office with us. Yes, she's now finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (she read over 300 pages in that one chunk of time).
And (almost as delightful), we had no problems getting one overly tired (she refused to nap) kid to bed last night.
Now our kid's at the same waiting-for-book-six stage we are. :-)
