Paying too much tax on cell phones?

Forbes has an intersting article on the various tax issues involving cell phones (especially interesting for those who might have kept an old number after a move). Of course, remember that tax fraud is illegal, so doing what the author did isn't necessarily recommended.

(Since work pays for my cell phone, I've never had to worry about this issue, myself).

That is interesting. Works in my favor since I've had the same cell phone number for a long time, so I live in New York -- the land of high taxes -- but have a phone with a Massachusetts area code.

Wierd! No mobile (= 'cell phone') taxes here. They also have their own set of area codes here so you can tell you're calling one.

I wish we'd implemented the area-code plan here. It'd make life a lot simpler.
