I'm a lot less pissed at Jick than I was about fifteen minutes ago. Made it (on my umpteenth try) with seven HP left.

Actually, once you ascend, have lots of fun in the "limbo" area first -- there's tons of content there.

I'll start with the hint. I'm trying to find light sources. Like the flaming katana blade etc.. but it doesn't work either.

Is it maybe an effect fromt he pallendrome?

He's not dispelled by light sources, alas. But remember that, as your shadow, he's everything you're not.
