Waking up

What's a great way to really wake yourself up upon hitting the office? Finding out that the orientation you were supposed to run as a favor to a vacationing colleague at 8:30 was really at 8. And finding this out at 8:05.

Yeah, wide awake now. Better than snorting coffee.

OT I know, but were you once remarking about how the DVDs for the *original trilogy of Star Wars have content you aren't interested in?

If, by content, you mean "scenes that I don't acknowledge," then yes. :-) That said, I've got copies of the laserdiscs versions (also known as "the real movies.").

most excellent- a friend of mine and I are looking to aquire such laser discs and to possibly archive them to DVD... portable viewing and all you understand :)

Try being in Alpharetta...then finding out at 12:01 that the 2pm major meeting downtown you are to be at was rescheduled to 12:30...and then not getting there because there were TWO SEPERATE wrecks on GA 400...

and folks wonder why I have such a sorry attitude about humanity as a whole...

I notice a trend here--you keep getting stuck doing presentations for other people.

Are you getting any pay back, or are they just taking advantage of you?

Eh. It's a part of the job. This was a presentation any of three of us could have done, but after person A realized that she'd be on vacation, she asked if I could cover. It could easily have come to me directly the first time (although I'd have likely had the time correct). I figure karma will win out.
