Ebert 1, Schneider 0
Aug. 12th, 2005 01:33 pmBut Schneider is correct, and Patrick Goldstein has not yet won a Pulitzer Prize. Therefore, Goldstein is not qualified to complain that Columbia financed "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" while passing on the opportunity to participate in "Million Dollar Baby," "Ray," "The Aviator," "Sideways" and "Finding Neverland." As chance would have it, I have won the Pulitzer Prize, and so I am qualified. Speaking in my official capacity as a Pulitzer Prize winner, Mr. Schneider, your movie sucks.

Date: 2005-08-12 05:50 pm (UTC)As luck would have it I caught like 10 seconds of a Comedy Central special on Deuce. Rob Schneider says that, "Deuce has a few, small talents."
I think that describes Schneider perfectly.

Robert Ebert, that was truly 1337.

Date: 2005-08-12 10:19 pm (UTC)I remember seeing the first commercial for the movie (and being surprised, 'cause I thought it had been released sometime last year), calling Jeff and saying "You remember the whole thing with Rob Schneider being pissy at a critic about the new Deuce Bigalow movie? Yeah, I just saw a spot for it...and if these are the bits they think are *best* and will intice people to spend money and time on the movie, I really can't imagine exactly how terrible the whole movie is."
And I hope I never find out.:)
