The latest season set of the Simpsons comes in a box shaped like Homer's head, which caused some controversy (although I personally love it, and would worship whoever bought it for me until the end of time and/or until my agnostic tendencies kicked back in).

Apparently, for those who aren't happy with the packaging, they've enclosed this card in the set:

Incidentally, I hear the phone number is wrong. I forget where I read it (is was somewhere on the Internet; is that specific enough?) but I think it's supposed to be 1-888 instead of 1-800.

Especially since all the future seasons will be head-boxes, so eventually, the old-style cases are the ones that people will want to swap out.

A quick perusal of the comments on Amazon seem to indicate that the shape of the packaging isn't the problem, it's that the packaging is cheap and flimsy and prone to falling apart if you look at it funny. With that in mind, that card is pretty insulting.

I think it's more likely the claim of inferior packaging is just an excuse for the whiners who don't want to admit their problem

Most of the comments refer to the plastic sleeve as the cheap part, which, from my other Simpsons and Futurama sets, has been the case since the beginning. I just don't bother with them.

I do think that the card was written in response to the pre-release bitching on the various message boards, which was most definitely in response to the shape, not the quality.
