(Still haven't watched this week's Prison Break, nor the last three Romes or Monster Houses. )
Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law: So, why exactly does Inch-high even hang around the office? And how many dead Scrappy-Doos have we seen now? And who cares? We got lots of Mentok! And Gigi!
Arrested Development: mmmm, Charlize Theron. I found her much more attractive here than in most of the movies I've seen her in. As always, the show had me in stiches, not least because of many of the moments with Jessica "robbed by Doris Roberts" Walter. The hand stuff was unbelievable. And we got to hear "The Final Countdown" again! Woohoo!
Kitchen Confidential: Wow, did this fail to impress me. I heard some great stuff about the pilot, but this was just flat. The cast is wonderful, and the lack of a laugh track is a good thing. But the writing just failed to zing. I might give it a try again down the road, but I saw nothing to convince me to get a season pass.
Medium: If I never hear Gloria Gaynor again, I'll be happy. I thought I'd go insane during the first ten minutes, which is surely how Allison felt. As always, I love the Allison/Joe dynamic, because their conversations seem real. And as always, I really really want them to either write Maria Lark off the show, or just write her like a real kid. She's the only false note, and with the baby getting older, they don't have to overdo the precociousness crap with her anymore. Please. Otherwise, I enjoyed the show a lot. Some really good character moments, and nice to see some acknowledgment of Phoenix's large Hispanic community in the plotlines.
Tonight, with 'song at a movie screening, I'll be holding off on Gilmore/House, so I'll probably just be catching up on Dr. Who.
