(Still haven't watched this week's Prison Break, nor the last three Romes or Monster Houses. )

Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law: So, why exactly does Inch-high even hang around the office? And how many dead Scrappy-Doos have we seen now? And who cares? We got lots of Mentok! And Gigi!

Arrested Development: mmmm, Charlize Theron. I found her much more attractive here than in most of the movies I've seen her in. As always, the show had me in stiches, not least because of many of the moments with Jessica "robbed by Doris Roberts" Walter. The hand stuff was unbelievable. And we got to hear "The Final Countdown" again! Woohoo!

Kitchen Confidential: Wow, did this fail to impress me. I heard some great stuff about the pilot, but this was just flat. The cast is wonderful, and the lack of a laugh track is a good thing. But the writing just failed to zing. I might give it a try again down the road, but I saw nothing to convince me to get a season pass.

Medium: If I never hear Gloria Gaynor again, I'll be happy. I thought I'd go insane during the first ten minutes, which is surely how Allison felt. As always, I love the Allison/Joe dynamic, because their conversations seem real. And as always, I really really want them to either write Maria Lark off the show, or just write her like a real kid. She's the only false note, and with the baby getting older, they don't have to overdo the precociousness crap with her anymore. Please. Otherwise, I enjoyed the show a lot. Some really good character moments, and nice to see some acknowledgment of Phoenix's large Hispanic community in the plotlines.

Tonight, with 'song at a movie screening, I'll be holding off on Gilmore/House, so I'll probably just be catching up on Dr. Who.

I was weirded out by the format of last night's AD with the weird "Previously on...". But the minute those rubber hand jokes ensued, I was just about ready to die. Poor G.O.B. not being able to join in on the Bluth family chicken dance. And hey, Dave Thomas! Where's he been?

Overall, not a hugely strong effort, but that's okay with me. I can handle it.

The Donald Rumsfeld gag in Arrested Development was priceless.

I forgot to program my VCR, so I missed Arrested Development and Kitchen Confidential last night!

I wasn't impressed with Kitchen Confidential either, and I really wanted to be.

There seems to be a lot of potential there, but the episode I saw utterly failed to live up to any of it.

Feh.

Arrested Development - my favorite line: "We're REALLY not making fun of Andy Griffith. Really." (And yes, Charlene is yummy, but her British accent was almost as bad as Kevin Costner's - was that on purpose?)

Kitchen Confidential - I admit it, I liked it. Not sure why - it's not genius or anything, but I was still definitely amused and entertained. I may be the only one.

Medium - haven't watched it yet - lalalalalalala (fingers in ears to avoid hearing spoilers)

There can never be enought dead Scooby or Scrappy Doos.

Turn off Kitchen Confidential and turn on How I Married Your Mother. It's been the pleasant surprise of the season so far which, I'm sure, has a lot to do with Alyson Hannigan who does some damn fine comedy. For that matter, Neil Patrick Harris is much funnier than I'd ever expect, too.

Yeah, ditto. I caught the pilot and didn't like it. So didn't even bother to watch it last night.

Agreed on the Gloria Gaynor thing. I actually love that song, but I was about to shoot my television, and then had to scrape myself off the ceiling when the skipping started.

Also, I thought the whole plane-crash-but-not-really-but-now-we're-sure-but-no-but-whatever mechanism was kind of ridiculous, and did we ever find out how the hell Isabel got FIVE HOURS away from home? And it's not nice to make little girls dream of dead daddies in trees.

So, while I do like the husband/wife relationship, I was generally annoyed by the episode. And priest conflicts are so two years ago.

Dr. Who! I'm in love with Christopher Eccleston as The Doctor.
