Wallace and Gromit

Just came back from seeing Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Was quite fun, with a bonus short featuring the Madagascar Penguins that was also damned funny. Definitely the best animated movie featuring Helena Bonham Carter that I've seen in ages. And I've been craving carrots and cheese (separately) ever since seeing it.

Alas, the trailers before the movie included both Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and Yours, Mine, and Ours, two movies that clearly prove that someone in Hollywood hates me. A lot. The feeling, needless to say, is mutual.

interesting year...two stop action movies out and Helena Bonham Carter is the voice of the main female char in both of em....

W&G opened #1...very nice debut...

but as usual, once Serenity and W&G get me believing in movies again, Hollywood spits upon us again...

oh yes, Summer School 2 is on the way as well...not to mention the straight to DVD Bambi 2....

Shit, neither of those were sold as scripts. They were sold as properties. If either screenplay had been written without being attached to franchises and actors, they'd be used as toilet paper.

I've inured myself to Disney releasing sequels to everything on DVD. But did anyone really demand Summer School 2? Is Mark Harmon returning?

I say it yesterday with the whole family. That was a good one. I'm also getting sick of seeing the trailer for Chicken Little. I don't care how good a movie it is, the same bloody trailer has been in front of every movie I've seen for the last 6 months it seems.

I was gonna see W & G tonight... but I forgot my glasses... GRRR! and I get to watch the drama of Omarossa, Janice Peterson, Christopher Knight and Danny Bonaduce instead...

it's probably just as hilarious as W & G!

but knowing there's a penguin short? I gotta go see W & G!
