Wedding weekend

dark_blade's wedding. Yesterday was the rehearsal luncheon/bbq (at which we ate well, an hung out with a room full of comic and other fandom geeks, always a good thing), followed by shadesong attending the rehearsal itself.
Today was the wedding, and it was lovely. I've knowndark_blade for over two years now, and I've never seen her look as happy and radiant as when she and Tadhg took their first dance. Just a wonderful ceremony, filled with happiness.
Bridesmaids (including my lovely wife andsibylla) were all beautiful, and much garb was worn (although not by me -- as I explained to havelyard and photognome, in an alternate universe that advanced more quickly, the clothing I wore would be considered Renaissance). Emerald Rose played, people (again, not me) danced, and everyone (including me) had lots of fun. Elayna hung out with the other kids, who all did nothing but run around. In the car on the way back, when docorion, shadesong, and I all said how exhausted we were, she said that she was wide awake. Want to guess who's currently napping? :-)
Overall, an amazing day, on top of an amazing weekend, spent watching two people who clearly make each other happy get married. It doesn't get much better than that.
