Forget Joss -- the major guest stars were our buddies from last year. Abel, Clarence, and Aaron -- it's like a reunion episode!

Resolving Abel's plotline was a nice, even if not happy. From a long-term point of view, it's important, though, as it eliminates him and his daughter from any direct involvement in any of the current shenanigans. Of course, we've now seen three associates of Aaron's die (two by most unnatural causes), which doesn't bode well. But having him as the mastermind behind everything seems too easy.

A few other thoughts:

I have to admit, I'd figured that Keith would win the election with a last-minute trick of sorts. Still, he's more interesting as a private eye, anyway.

That said, much as Lamb is an asshole, he was right -- he's got no reason to just chat with Keith about the investigation.

That said, Lamb's an ass, and I'd love to see the bus story end up being his downfall.

And we had the return of Cliff! Woohoo! I love his character, the moreso because he basically uses his Cosmo voice, while played a complete sleaze. It would be even funnier if he used his Jorgen Von Strangle voice, though.

Wonder if Clarence is biting off more than he can chew in Vegas? We never see him again after he implies that he's about to kill Amelia's possible murderer.

Are Dick and Beaver now emancipated minors? If so, is there anyone left in this town who isn't?

The one false note -- Cliff doing his illicit favor for Veronica while in the interrogation room with Logan. Just didn't fly for me.

Still, otherwise, a damned fine episode.

And three weeks until the Buffy Reunion episode! Woohoo!

I had a similar thought last night, which was along the lines of "For 09ers, emancipation from your parents is the new black"

Oh hey, you might know. Was there any sort of ARG goodness coming from the two AOL e-mail addresses very obviously spelled out in the last episode?

I tried the vmars one

Just got caught up on Veronica Mars - what a cool episode! - and I tried the vmars@aol.com address. No response yet...

Hey, what WAS the thing on the bottom of the seat of the school bus that Keith was looking at?
