John Cusack on Scrubs?

And guest star alert: Don't be surprised if John Cusack also guest stars very soon! When I last spoke with Bill Lawrence (EP), he told me, "There's only two friends of ours left that haven't been on the show yet, and that's Mandy Moore, a friend of everybody here, and John Cusack, who's Johnny C.'s [McGinley] friend. He hangs around here and occasionally comes by and eats lunch here, and he is dead to me if he doesn't do the show this year."

They've had great guest stars - my favorite so far has been Brendan Frasier who I thought meshed perfectly with the cast. I can see John Cusack doing a good job as well (and hey, this is a show that made Tara Reid watchable for a few episodes.)

Aw hell yeah. Not only do I love the Cusack (who of our age-range doesn't?), but I'm a big fan of the way Scrubs uses its guest stars. John Ritter, Tom Cavanagh, Heather Graham, Dick Van Dyke, Michael J. Fox, Heather Locklear, Brendan Fraser, etc. Shit, the one time I could stand to even deal with Sean Hayes was during his Scrubs stint.

Oh, and also Christa Miller is really hot. Damn that Bill Lawrence. Damn him.

Btw, did you know my all-new review of Srcubs: Season 2 was up at DVDTalk. Well. It is.

I realize that this is something of a tangent, but if Mandy Moore ever guest-stars, the series is dead to me. Not that I watch it religiously to begin with so...yeah.

Um, hate to break it to you, but the series is about to be dead to you. Her casting as a guest star was announced last week.

Just remember -- this is the show that made Tara Reid look good.

And Mandy was fine in Saved.
