Amazon's got another TV DVD sale
Nov. 15th, 2005 01:12 pmI guess they're responding to DDD's 20% off sale, as some of these are cheaper than even those prices:
A&E DVDs up to 50% off -- this includes a lot of the ones that were in the British TV sale (The Emma Peel Avengers Mega Set for $99.98, Jeeves and Wooster for $64.98, etc), as well as some nifty new items, like Kids in the Hall Season 1 for $18.97 (53% off) and Season 2 for $22.97 (62% off, which makes the "up to 50% off" kind of silly), and the 12-disc 2004 Boston Red Sox Championship box set for $71.97 (45% off).
And there's a Fox 50% off sale that might kick my ass: Simpsons Season Five and Season Six (both of which are on my wishlist, you know) at $26.97 each, Arrested Development Season 1 at $19.97 (ditto), Greg the Bunny for $13.47 Wonderfalls, Remington Steele, The Lone Gunmen, and Harsh Realm for the same $19.97 each, and a ton of Buffy, Angel, Mary Tyler Moore, M*A*S*H, 24 and other stuff at 50% off.
ETA: That A&E sale includes the 30% Anniversary Edition of World at War for $72.97 (51% off), which is an amazing deal on one of the best documentary series ever.
Yeah, I know -- "the things you own end up owning you". But that bit of wisdom was uttered by a fictional alternate personality of an insomniac psychopath.
