It's been ages since I've seriously considered adding a new DCU comic to my subscription list (LSH doesn't count, nor do the occasional miniseries or TPB).

But Chaykin and Simonson on Hawkgirl?

Oh, hell yes.

Now this is a real All-Star comic.

I remember distinctly when the Batman: Black & White trade paperback came out, I was in the comics store, and a moron (your stereotypical Simpsons Comic Book Guy sort) said the cover looked lame.

The store owner pointed out that it was drawn by Alex Toth, who doesn't do a lot of work these days, and the moron replied, "Who the hell is that?"
