Just eight days until Season Seven of the Simpsons comes out!

This was, imho, the last year of the near-perfect era of the show (and has some of the best moments ever with the late Phil Hartman). "A FIsh Called Selma," "22 Short Films about Springfield," King-Sized Homer," and "Raging Abe Simpson and his Grumbling Grandson in 'The Curse of the Flying Hellfish'" still rank as four of my favorite episodes of all all time.

Now that Elayna's finally getting really into The Simpsons, I've been enjoying re-watching some of the earlier episodes, and I definitely plan to get this set.

That said, I do with that they'd taken the "character head" concept for the packaging to the extreme, and had Marge's hair actually go twice the length of the box. Sure, it'll annoy retailers and collectors, but it would look so damned nifty.

NOW you've done it:

"...but for that to have worked, you'd've had to ignore all the Simpson DNA evidence. And that would've been downright nutty."

"Hymms here, I got hymms here! Get 'em while they're holy! Fresh from God's brain to your mouth!"

"Release the robotic Richards Simmons."

"Now please rise for our hymm...uh, 'In the Garden of Eden' by I. Ron Butterfly."

"Gay? I WISH!"

"He can talk, he can talk, he can talk, he can talk." "I can SIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGG!"

;-)

Though I wonder if the set also includes that fake "America's Most Wanted" they ran before "Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part Two"?

I do belive that S7 is being released in both types of box, which means you can choose between the normal foldout -or- the plastic Marge head.

And there'll definitely be commentaries on ALL the episodes. I have all six previous sets, and every one has a commentary on every durn episode.

Can't wait for this set. S6, 7, and 8 are my very very favorites. The show's never been better than those three years, IMVVHO.

The fake America's Most Wanted is actually on the Season Six set. I watched it. I'm waiting for S8, because it has my two favorite episodes.

You Only Move Twice

and

Homer's Enemy

Yeah, it's my favorite of all time.

See you at work tomorrow...although I don't like to call it work!
