Only $16.99 (32% off)? Oh, this will so be mine in less than two months. And uncut and uncensored? Rock fucking on.

Why I like Peter Dragon:

Life is filled with things that you just can't predict. Ned Beatty goes on a rafting trip in "Deliverance," winds up getting sodomized by hillbillies. Eddie Murphy stops to give a girl a ride home, turns out she has a bigger schlong than he does. One night you go out for McDonald's and accidentally hack your ex-wife and Ron Goldman to death. These things happen. The point is that things can change 180 degrees in a split second.

Wasn't expecting pre-orders to be available this soon after the press release about the DVD set went out.

And the week before, we get this:

Already at $16.19 (35% off)! Wonder what [livejournal.com profile] shadesong and I will get ourselves as a mutual Valentine's Day Present?

OMG, ACTION! Jay Mohr and Illyana Douglas! That show was so ahead of its time! And me with a credit at Amazon.com. What's a girl to do?

I never even know Illeana Douglas was in that. Hw could I have missed her? How, how, I cry??!!

I mean, man, she's been fun to watch, ever since at least Goodfellas. (I even liked her in Grace Of My Heart, which didn't do much for me except for her and the scene where some guy's playing a Theremin -- badly -- for the Brian Wilson stand-in.)

You can put it more simply: Illeana *is* Teh Sex.

Holy shit. ;-) (She is among my "types," in case you couldn't guess...)

Ahhh, Illeana skating at the end...bliss... (Yeah, I saw To Die For opening weekend October '95. My big motivation to get out to it was seeing both it and Dead Presidents -- two films hitting my town on the same day that had Danny Elfman scores. Plus I'm big on Gus Van Sant too, so that was further motivation...)

Has Van Sant really done anything worth seeing since To Die For?

Y'know, I'd forgotten that was Van Sant. It was so...un Van Sant like.

Tori! Which even Elayna can enjoy!

(I'm curious: The Wife member of your Family Unit mentioned, somewhat trepidatiously I thought, how really keen Elayna was on Tori's voice; the little one kept going on about it, in fact. What are your wife's feelings re: Tori? Me, I'm a fan going back 10 years and I've seen her in concert twice, once in a free concert in downtown Portland.)

The wife likes Tori quite a lot. :) It wasn't trepidation, it was amusement that she has developed Actual Taste so early in life...

I actually have pictures of Tori holding Elayna and singing "Happy Phantom" to her at soundcheck when Elayna was 18 months old.

Tori holding your daughter? Oh, wow. Neat. Yay-ness. Good words like that. That's fucking adorable! (OK, those are good words, too.)

And pardon me; I mis-read something somewhere sometime. Good thing I asked before I made an ass out of you and me, or something. ;-)
