Amazon's dumping off a few more movies, still in time for Hanukkah, MLK Day, or Tu B'Shevat:

For $10.97 (45% off), they've got Lifeboat (an amazing Hitchcock movie, if you've somehow not already seen it), The Mark of Zorro (the original one that killed Batman's dad, not to be confused with similar-sounding recent titles), Predator 2: Special Edition, the Fullscreen version of Sideways (why would you even bother?), the fullscreen version of Taxi (hey, at least there's less of Jimmy Fallon to see), The Transporter: Special Delivery Edition (Amazon's also got one of those specials where you can buy this and The Boondock Saints for a combined $15.44), Woman, Thou Art Loosed, Elektra (Widescreen, but not the unrated director's cut), Fat Albert (hey, fat suit humor! Just what the world needs!), Flight of the Phoenix (Full-Screen), The Fly II 2-disc Edition (which is almost 100% unlike the Cronenberg flick, other than having two discs), and I Heart Huckabees.

For $7.97 (60% off): Shine and Caddyshack.

For $6.99 (30% off): Logan's Run (buy it before the unnecessary remake comes out).

And (although I've mentioned it before), for $19.97 (62% off), The Bogart Collection, featuring The Big Sleep, The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, and Key Largo. At less than $5 a movie, you're not going to find many better deals out there on movies this good.

Also, for those of you with PSPs who'd rather watch movies on that instead of a DVD player, Deep Discount DVD has a buy-one-get-one-free sale on UMD movies.

'For $7.97 (60% off): Shine and Caddyshack.'

Almost exactly the same movie, I've always thought.

you know, speaking of unrated director's cuts...
i really wish there was a website out there that outlined what the actual differences were between the 'unrated' and 'theatrical release' versions of different films.

I wonder if anyone would like to remake the sequels to Logan's Run. I know they are out there somewhere, but probably out of print.

On the other hand I read another book by that same writer and he's pretty awful, but then again so is Puzo and The Godfather is a classic.
