Man, that was a good hockey game. No, it was a great hockey game.

Wow.

Was a little disappointed in the asshole fans booing Heatley from the get-go, but otherwise, a damned fun experience. Some fucking brilliant plays, and since we had superb seats, we didn't miss a thing.

Elayna loves the new thunder sticks they give out, and managed to make plenty of noise with them. :-)

Overall, nothing to complain about with this one. And as of this second, we're one of the top eight! Woohoo!

Thundersticks are evil, and yet so awesome at the same time. They give those out at our college games all the time. It's pretty cool when 2000 people are all slamming them together. Just don't go if you have a headache.

Ottawa is one of the scarier teams in the NHL, mostly due to Heatley and Hasek on the team, but Atlanta is so explosive. They can score so quickly, it keeps other teams back on their heels. I mean look at the goal from Hossa at 0:37 of the second period. The Thrashers are a very explosive team. Now if they can just get to the top of the southern division, they can make the playoffs for the first time.

BTW, who was in goal first? Garnett or Lehtonen? And why the change?

Garnett. We assumed it was an injury (I mean, he'd been doing well, and there was a 5-2 lead), but in the car on the way home, it turned out it was because the coach thought the goals he'd let in were weak. Personally, I was a bit surprised by the change.

Yeah...from the scoring summary it looked odd. It may be he just wants to play Lehtonen more. He was supposed to be the starter at the beginning of the season. Garnett has also had a lot of pressure placed on him this season. He was supposed to spend this season primarily in Chicago.
