Man, Tuesday sure feels like a Monday.

1. shadesong got home shortly before I had to leave for work. Needless to say, she's not going into the office today.

2. I finally found my tenth Clockwork Key in KOL, so it's back to actual questing for now. Off to the Valley again.

2.5 Wait -- did they just recently change the ending of the Orc Chasm quest, or is the change (not giving up a certain object) something that happens post-Ascension, and I somehow never noticed it before?

3. Did not watch the new Arrested Development last night (I watch that with shadesong), but I did catch the new Medium, which was fun, if completely and utterly predictable (I love the characters, but I'm getting a little sick of being twenty steps ahead of Joe and Allison, and I was extra annoyed at Allison for not sharing any useful information with Scanlon, who would have figured stuff out). That said, the dream sequences were incredibly well done.

4. Just remembered that postage goes up in five days. Annoying.

5. There's way too much work for the first day after vacation. *grumble*

She didn't get into bed until 4:30ish, and my alarm goes off at 5:15. I hadn't realized until I read LJ that she'd gotten in a little earlier.

apropos of medium...there's a book out called spook that examines "the science of the afterlife". if the real-life medium in medium is intriguing to you (who knows, maybe she is, or not), you might want to check it out.

Thanks for posting about the postage. I haven't been paying much attention to that, and I have about 20 cards to mail. I do so hate having to buy those extra cents postage stamps to go with the normal stamp.

Anyway, thanks again. I guess I need to get off of lj and work on my snail mailing.

The Baron Quest has been changed.

At the end of the quest you get the axe and the dictionary. You may autosell the dictionary for 20k, or craft it into the Fez Of E, which typically sells at the mall for around 30-35k.

You might want to craft and keep it.

Oh, and Jick changed the drop rate for penguin skins at the Icy Peak, so it is only like 1/10. That reduces the monetary gain rather a lot, and you might consider farming at the Air Ship more often.

Wow. Why is it selling so high? I mean, it's easy enough to get, every player's pretty much ensured a chance at it, and the stat gain just isn't that amazing. Am I missing something?

It's been a while since I've needed to farm (and when I did, I took the Palindrome option), but the airship was a secondary choice for farming, as I'd been trying for all the damned plastics. But since I'm teetotaling this time, that's not an option.

Just sos your peeps know, Baph received the boxed set of "Arrested Development" from a friend for xmas and the first disc was missing from the casing. It was bought at Best Buy. Could you make a post about that fact, so anyone considering buying it (we haven't watched any of it yet... figure we'll give it back to the guy to get another one or if we never get around to it, we'll just try and buy the first disc) will NOT go to BB?

Much as I'm not a BB fan, this may well not be their fault -- if someone pulled a fast one on a return (even to another store which then got sent back to the distributor), it may well not be their fault. The key is how the respond. If they don't hand you a new one (and I mean a new set, not a new disc), they deserve all the pillorying in the world.
