yendiWeekend TV:
JLU: Wow. So, they killed two significant villains here. Um, holy shit. I mean, any Aquaman villain is, in the scheme of things, not a huge loss, but Grodd? Wow. And I loved the reactions to his plan. Wonder Woman's "Oh, come on!" was priceless. As was Luthor's dismissal of the plan. Likewise, his manipulation of Bizarro was great. And, of course, seeing Boston Brand again was wonderful. Gotta pity him for how things turned out for him, though. Overall, just a superb episode, using the Big Three to nicely move the arc forward.
Slings and Arrows: Oh, how I missed this show! A tv show that actually appeals to well-read audiences. Who knew? Not bothering with any spoilers, but man, am I happy to see these guys again. If you get Sundance, you owe it to yourself to watch this show. If you're living in Canada, you saw this stuff last year, and I envy you.
Desperate Housewives: This show consistently gets damned fine guest stars, and Maria Conchita Alonso was a blast to watch. The show did suffer from the same issues they had earlier this season (too many separate plotlines with too little overlap), but the areas in which there was overlap were damned nice.
Working from Home:
Yep. Since DeKalb County decided to add an extra week of vacation this year ("to give families time to travel," which means they listened to the families in the one rich district, presumably), I'm working from home this week. So far, so good.
Elayna's Birthday:
Yes, our little girl turns 11 next month! She's decided that she wants to do a mystery party, and will do How to Host a Teen Mystery: Barbecue With the Vampire this year. She's excited about this one, as are we.
Finally, for those wondering about the state of me in KOL, I'm about halfway there on my AT ascension, beating the Bonerdagon last night. 100 turns away from leaving Ronin, which should happen tomorrow.
