KOL really starts to hit the big time

An eBay auction for a KOL Hypnodisk just broke $100.

Granted, we're not looking at the secondary economy that games like Evercrack generate yet, but it's still a bit surprising.

There have been several auctions like that, and something called KOLbay was(might still be) running.

Jick seems a bit annoyed at Ebay auctions, but doesn't seem to really care about it.

Me, I think you could donate in game, sell the Mr. A's, and get a hypno disk cheaper than 100 bucks.

Most of the auctions that I've seen have been more along the lines of the 75 Hell Ramens for $3 and a Buy It Now (which make a lot more sense to me).

And yeah, people paying that much haven't exactly paid much attention to the Mall.

Another problem is that the hypnodisk is a 25% item drop, and Mr. A Jr, is 25, and a stat bonus, for only 10 bucks, or for 20 bucks you could have gotten the Jekyll belt which gives much better stat and item bonuses.

The Hypnodisk is ludicrously overvalued, even in meat value, let alone cash. But people pay for the ultra-rares.

I don't have a single sorta rare, or ultra rare.

I do admit to being a bit jealous that you had a hockey mask, right after you started.

But, eh, e-penis envy is not my bag, so I got over it.

Embarassing fact: I had no idea the mask was a rare for ages. 'song got one pretty early in her run, and now has two.

The SPH is actually useful, though, as it tends to be at just the right level right when I hit the Crypt.

With the revamp of its effects, I think it is probably very helpful.
