So, sat around for hours, finished reading Sorcery and Cecelia (which I really should have read ages ago, as I've always been a big fan of Patricia Wrede), and eventually found out that the case had been plea-bargained. So I hit the Decatur Library (and can I say again how much I love that library? Very few public libraries have an entire shelf of Bill Pronzini books in stock.), then made my way back home.

That makes me something like 0/6 in terms of actually serving on a jury.

Are you registered to vote?

I just missed being empaneled last fall in a murder trial. I was disappointed until I got home and found that later that afternoon the lucky jurors got to start of the trial with a giant picture of an infant who had be placed in a pot of boiling water until the skin from her chest down came off.

Ugh. I so didn't need that mental image.

Yes, I'm registered since 2004.
