Friday five

That would be five updates, not five questions. I do memes like Grissom does evites.
1. The Fourth Bear! Yep, new Jasper Fforde this summer. Hooray!
2. If anyone doubts that I have willpower, I'll prove it. At least ten things have been purchased off my wishlist, meaning I'm probably going to have fun tomorrow. Yet I've resisted clicking on the "show purchased items" section. That takes willpower.
3. I am enjoying getting stuff ready for birthday games in KOL. For those who asked (
amokk and
unwilly), I certainly won't turn down any donations for prizes, but I've got some nice stuff already (spectral pickles, duck-on-a-string, shm, etc), so please don't feel that it's a necessity.
4. Mets won! No, not going to do a full recap every day (that's why Metsblog exists, and he's got more time to do it right). But I'm happy. After the loss the night before, they needed a night like this.
5. Watched the new episode of CSI last night. Weirdly, our cable company had the description of it as a Catherine-centric episode. I'm thinking some wires got crossed. But I loved seeing the return of the head-in-a-car girls. And giving Greg a major role always livens things up.

Date: 2006-04-07 04:02 pm (UTC)And I liked the first Nursery Crimes book, but not as much as I liked the Thursday Next ones. But I'm still a sucker for hardboiled fiction.
