Free Weird Al! Again!

Weird Al's MySpace page (*shudder*) has "Don't Download This," the first single off his new album, available for free MP3 download.

The new album comes out in a bit over a month. Which is a good thing, except for the fact that it's on dualdisc instead of a format that doesn't, y'know, suck and void warranties.

Weird Al's next album is being released both as a straight CD and as a dual-disc, as I understand it. (Could be) crisis averted!

Explanation as to why? I just looked up dualdisc in Amazon (the click on popup) I'd never heard of it and it says it's one side cd, one side dvd, thicker than cds, but playable in both cd and dvd players... so i'm curious and puzzled ;)

All the reports I've seen just talk about the dualdisc. I much prefer the two separate discs packaging.

I think it's more from the Germs/Dare to be Stupid school of sounding kinda like a band, in this case USA for Africa. Then again, I don't follow what kids listen to nowadays, so who knows?

I don't have any links at home, but a quick look at Pioneer and other companies shows that they don't support the format, and it could cause problems. It's also extra sensative to wear and tear, and has been reported to cause issues with some slot-loading players.
