1. I somehow lost my MARTA card this weekend. Fortunately, I had change from the garage sale in my pocket. But still, that's a pain in the ass.

2. Called to set up utilities this morning, and the gas company (which is only the most important one, as freezing would suck) told me that the meter for the address I gave needed to be reinstalled, which required an inspection that the landlords had to initiate. I'm 90% sure that's because there's a mix-up in terms of what the gas company thinks is the address, and the actual address, but until I hear from the landlords, I can't know for sure (and I can't move forward on the other utilities).

2A. Which makes me hope that everything will be okay with the phone/DSL I'd already set up, as that's for the same address. *

3. Buying a burrito at lunch today, they somehow gave my order to the clueless student in front of me (who'd ordered a quesadilla), and thus I had to wait three extra minutes for my pseudo-Mexican food.

Okay, #3 isn't quite as annoying. But I hate lists of two.

*On the plus side, the phone/dsl is a nice deal. The cost of phone service, including unlimited long distance and DSL, will be less than our standard local phone service here. And the customer service rep was very nice.

I hear you about list of two, but you have to save the most important/annoying for third and preface it by "In the gripping hand..."

Who'd you get for your long distance?

I just got Verizon DSL at 14.95/mo last week which is doubly cool since they are my phone company too. Only one bill to hassle with for both services :)

I'm still getting use to the almost instant loading of webpages and fast downloads (and this is the slower type dsl of less than a meg/sec, the
1.5M dsl is twice the cost)

By contrast i've been paying 21.99/mo for Earthlink's 56k dialup for years with lousy busy servers and dropping to 5-6k/sec ave for downloads
at really busy sites as opposed to 1M/in 10 sec downloads via dsl.
