The best part is the comments, where people are thinking the Safe Delete thing was real. "Poor choice of the icon and location for safe delete - most users I know click on the x in the right corner of the window to close programs when they are done. Bad enough to use the x but even a worse choice for a location. You shold use a totally different icon that no one has seen before in the window bar, also a different location like maybe the bottom of the window."
I've never really had a problem with Microsoft - most of my errors have been hardware-related in my computing career.
Occasionally, I get the impression that many of the gripes about Microsoft can be linked back to the kind of people who didn't catch on to the "safe delete" joke. I think there's a lot more GIGO going on than MS critics want to admit.
