Amazon deals: Coffee!

Not many Amazon deals today (see yesterday's post for more), but their Deal of the Day (good until Midnight) is a doozy: The Senseo HD7810 Coffee Pod Machine Gift Pack for $54.99 (49% off)! I love coffee pod machines, especially at work, when making a pot of coffee isn't a viable option. This comes with a travel mug and two bags of pods, as well. Note that only the black Senseo is on sale for this price.

To top that deal off, Senseo is offering a $20 "rebate" (actually a $20 Amex gift card) with purchase. I always recommend that people assume they won't get the rebate when buying something; if you get it, that's great. But in the meantime, you're mentally assuming you've spent $34.99, but you haven't.

Their other new discount in the Kitchen section is the Pinzon Penguin Wine Opener Gift Set , going for $19.99 (60% off).

Over in videogames, the PS2 version of Phantasy Star Universe is on sale for $19.99 (see yesterday's post for the X-Box link).

For Windows gamers, the IceWind Dale Ultimate Collection is down to $19.99 ($33% off), while Icewind Dale 2 by itself is down to $5. The Neverwinter Nights DIamond Compilation Pack is down to $14.99. And Gothic II: Gold Edition is down to $12.99.

Just sharing: my boyfriend loves coffee. His name for his fave kind of coffee is 'Sam Jackson Coffee'. My daughter asked him one day what he meant, and he said 'its strong, its black, and it will kick your ass Mothafucka'!'

I cant think of coffee anyother way since.

In a similar vein, the first time I met my best friend, he was on his way in to get some coffee from the student center cafe at our college. When he came out, we asked him how the coffee was. Nearly spitting it out, he says, clearly deeply offended, "They flavored it, the bastards!" then he turns to me and explains, "I like my coffee like I like my comedy, black and bitter. But no one around here will serve me coffee like Janeane Garafolo."
