Sunday stuff

1. I'm feeling better. Not perfect, but it looks to be down to just a cough and some sniffles. And when I cough, it no longer triggers a massive headache chain reaction!

2. In light of that, if anyone wants a quiet New Year's Eve of gaming (maybe mixed with DVD watching), let me know. I'm not a fan of parties (at all), but a good gaming group is always fun (and, as previously mentioned, crash space exists).

3. Today, my Jets play for a playoff spot. All they have to do is beat the Raiders to make the playoffs. Of course, since the Jets are more capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory than anyone, I am more than a little nervous.

4. Funny Bill Belichick quote: In discussing whether he'd play to win today, or just sit his starters: "We're going to approach this game the way we approach all our games." Sure. So Bill, you really trying to convince us that the Pats didn't throw the last game of the year against Miami in 2005?

5. We got snow yesterday! Not much of it (and it's melting today), but at least there was a nice layer of white on the ground.

6. I finally got a working used copy of Hulk: Ultimate Destruction! Yay! It's just as much fun as robyn_ma said. That said, I hate hate hate the convoy mission (not least because it earworms the C.W. McCall song into my head). I've failed it ten times already. Grr. And that's on "Easy" mode.

7. I'm in love with our new Tivo. I love the fact that it'll even record two Tivo suggestions at a time. I love that there's enough space on there for four screens of suggestions on top of the programming I've already recorded. I love that it's smaller than my first gen Tivo. I love that it came with a new serial cable, which means that we don't have channel switching problems thanks to bad IR.

My boys have snatching defeat from the jaws of victory down to an art, and given the season we've had.. I'm thinking your worries are pointless. :P
