One quick Valentine's Day Week note

I'm a wonderful proofreader and copyeditor when I'm reviewing someone else's material. I'm decent at catching my own mistakes when I can step away from a piece for a day and look at it with fresh eyes. But I'm terrible at catching my own mistakes in a piece that I've just written.

So I can't begin to express how much shadesong has helped me. She's caught typos, syntax issues, and repetitions that my brain simply refused to see in most of the 261 Days of Horror pieces I've posted. So as the Valentine's Week ends, I just want to note how wonderful my wife is.

(And any typos that make into posts are my fault, not hers).

My mate and I are each other's best proofreaders and critics.

Since I wear two pairs of glasses to his one pair, between us we have ten eyes, and thus are able to harness the editorial superpowers of.... a horseshoe crab!

I do enjoy the 261 days of horror posts very much.
