Amazon DVD Deals: Prison Break and other box sets

Amazon's Deal of the Day is Season 1 of Prison Break for $24 (60% off). That one lasts only until Midnight (Seattle time) tonight, unless they sell out earlier.

They've also got another "up to 50% off" box set sale for MGM and 20Th Century Fox sets. This one includes The Sidney Poitier Collection, the Robocop Trilogy, the Charlie Chan Chanthology, The Man With No Name Trilogy (yay!), movie sets like The Pink Panther and Planet of the Apes, assorted theme sets (baseball, world destruction, legal thillers), and celebrity sets for folks like Cameron Diaz, George Clooney, and Natlie Portman.

Bah. The Man With No Name Trilogy is still boxed with the shorter cut of The Good, The Bad & the Ugly. That extra 17 minutes in the extended cut was kind of a revelation when I saw it on AMC. (Guess I could always pick it up separately (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001GF2DS/), but still...)

Feh. That is annoying. I'm not sure I've ever seen the extended cut (and I'm shocked that AMC would show it, in light of their redefinition of classics in recent years).
