Brian Ausiello over at TV Guide is reporting that part of Veronica's fate might rest with Gilmore Girls (basically, only one's likely to stay), although he also notes that this could be a bogus rumor. That said, there's no question that Gilmore is a show that's ready to die (especially with Melissa McCarthy already landing a pilot), and one that's pretty far past the point of saving, creatively.

I think you're right on the Gilmores. It is a resigning year for all of them so they would have to get at least Graham, Bledsoe and, probably, Bishop and Peterson to sign before going on. On the down side, if those four do sign it's probably a certain renewal since their numbers are up this year and they do about 2x Veronica's numbers most weeks.

Frankly, if they're going to bring back VM in some sort of gutted format, I don't know that it's worth bringing back. VM is as much about the people around her IMO, than it is about Kristen Bell. If they're going to butcher it, I'd rather they let it die and let us have 3 good seasons.
