1. Swag from the conference yesterday included the usual assortment of pens, as well as a pair of socks (seriously), a usb hub (they've officially hit swag levels of cheapness), a shirt, a boomerang, a combination hairbrush/compact that Elayna adores, and a $5 Starbucks gift card (yay Sun!).

2. But the most surprising piece of swag was the shark from [livejournal.com profile] ckd icons! I grabbed two of 'em. :-)

3. As noted by [livejournal.com profile] dtaylor (and my issue of Newsweek, but I saw it on LJ first), those who find Youtube too offensive can now opt to use Godtube. I'll avoid the obvious comments on seeing a Clay Aiken montage on the front page there. At least there's no Liberace montage alongside it.

4. Remember: Today is March 21, which is the day on which we go to Dunkin' Donuts and get a free iced coffee! Also, it's springtime or somesuch.

5. Finally, Amazon has another up-tp-50% off deal, this time on Sci-Fi and Fantasy DVDs. That includes The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth (including the limited edition -- remember to check out page two of the sale!), Gattica, Mirrormask, Starman, Cowboy Bebop (just the movie), and assorted Godzilla flicks.

What's with the oh so not original Clay slam? Haven't you heard? The stalker guy that claimed an affair with Aiken confessed it was all a hoax. Leave the guy alone and let him have some peace for a change. He is just a nice guy trying to have a singing career. What's so offensive about that?

You're entitled to your opinion but I think you might be surprised to find that you don't know him at all. This is a song he wrote.

It is amazing that has hit conference swag levels. I came home from my last conference with 3 usb hubs, 12 mice (of which 4 were wireless), and a plethora of thumb drives. I missed the dutch company's "wooden" shoes aka slippers. They looked very nice. I get to find out what vendors give away at a government conference next month.
