That stupid shit is part of why I hate Boomers. You're not smarter, you're just more technically inclined because you grew up with it while older ones didn't always.
which, when you think about it logically, means older people who have tech-savvy ARE smarter. THe young'uns didn't have to relearn a thing and they get to learn it during a time when the human brain is at it's peak levels for absorbing information. Yet there are 50+ yr olds out there who glommed onto techie stuff and went full throttle. My dad is one. He built a computer back in 1981 and has been going strong ever since. I was coding in BASIC when I was 12 yet my dad can flex his brain over my paltry l33t skillz anyday. It's a matter of being able to keep up and I think that's clearly smarter than just getting it spoon-fed to you as you grow up.
While I've met some very smart members of the current generation, most of them are dumb. Even when it comes to technology. This guy needs to come visit my sound engineering class. Most of them still have to ask where the headphones go (hint: it's the hole with the label "headphn" next to it.)
