Monday stuff

yendi1. The Mets won their season opener! Yay! And every Met who had an at-bat (the starting nine and one pinch hitter) had a hit! And holy shit, our defense was good.
2. And The Thrashers are in the playoffs for the first time ever! Double yay!
3. Yesterday's weather was lovely, and Elayna and I went for a daddy/daughter walk to the library. Was a very nice afternoon, and we even went out in short-sleeve shirts.
4. Today's weather is cold and rainy. And that's going to be the way it is all week.
5. I turn 35 in six days. It seems that every online survey and contest I fill out features a set of age checkboxes, and all of them feature something along the lines of "26-34" as an option. I have a feeling that getting used to changing my answer to survey questions will be harder than writing the correct year on checks each January.
