Hey, how about a crappy-looking trailer for an absolutely unnecessary remake by a director who does nothing but overrated vanity projects in the first place?

Here, have one.

This looks likely to suck twice as much as I'd anticipated.

...but it has Mickey Dolenz from the Monkees in it!

Now, really. How many times is a remake really not absoulutely unnecessary?

OK, yeah, it looks like a "realistic 70's style makeover" but they should have learned with the Amityville Horror and Omen remakes that it doesn't cut it.

And, why, oh why, not release it in OCTOBER? who wants to see a Halloween movie when its 95 degrees out?

And Mickey Dolenz is in it? Well that settles it.

I'm definitely there (sadly I already marked it down in my calendar book as a night out with the gang and we're all getting babysitters). Talk about not wanting to give up your youth.

20+ years later we're still out seeing crappy horror movies and drinking beers (but now instead of not wanting our parents to know, we don't want the kids to know!)

He's only made two movies, and I really liked The Devil's Rejects. Shouldn't he have a longer resume before you write him off?

You know, I can appreciate Rob Zombie's passion for the genre, but he should really know better than to try to remake a movie like Halloween. Some things are just untouchable. What's next? Are we going to see Stanley Kubrik do a remake of Citizen Kane?

Hopped up christ inna rehab clinic.
It's not even Rob's own typical shlock, he's remaking other peoples shlock. In a sane world he'd be appearing at fucking car shows by now.
I wanna know who keeps giving him a camera, that guy owes me some money.

Dude, seriously?

They showed the trailer before Grindhouse and as a teaser I think it was great. I LOVE McDowell as Loomis... there's NO ONE better... finally a role for him to sink his teeth into.

I also love the update to the mask.

Yes, there's a lot that may be wrong, but those flaws that he has are what make his films great.

Also, if you didn't like Devil's Rejects, I may need to go a little Otis on you.

1. Apparently Malcom McDowell had a boat payment.

2. Who greenlit this, and what were they smoking at the time?

3. Why? Just.... why?

*sigh* There are no new original ideas...

If Stanley Kubrik does a remake of Citizen Kane it will be an absolute must see.

The guy's been dead for at least 5 years now.

I also saw the new Halloween trailer before Grindhouse.

I'd much rather see the movie depicted in Rob Zombie's fake trailer (from Grindhouse): Werewolf Women of the SS.

I was super excited for S.S., but Oleg Prudius as the lead werewolf would make for the worst freaking film EVER, unless he NEVER opens his mouth and just bodyslams people everywhere using some Sambo.

Oleg versus Cage in a battle to the death would be awesome. Although Nicholas Cage didn't seem into being Fu Manchu enough there. His maniacal laughter can be MUCH MUCH better... and it was lacking...something. (I'm stealing these notes for my spoileriffic look at Grindhouse indeed)

I finally checked the IMDB on Halloween... I have no clue who the girl is (despite a lot of credits) and she seems almost too sweet and innocent. I mean, is she going to run around and look sexy with big boobies bouncing? Can she be a scream queen? Will we give a shit about her? If not... then, this movie will suck, no matter what...
