Weekend foodstuffs
Apr. 30th, 2007 08:18 am1. Shaw's had tons of good deals on Lean Pockets and Lean Cuisine Spa meals, so I'm stocked at the office with food that's cheap, not likely to make me any fatter, and tasty enough.
2. We cooked some nifty stuff with the assorted organic stuff we got from Boston Organics yesterday. I made these Zucchini Pancakes, replacing the scallions with the leeks that arrived in the shipment the week before. It was also a nice chance to use the food processor (Elayna is still amazed at just how quickly it worked). We also made a mashed squash recipe that was okay, but sounded better on virtual paper, and some baked eggplant with tomato sauce, which is in the fridge, as it'll be better today (and if not, into the food processor to make a dip).
3. Today we'll make the red chard, possible something with the beets, and who knows what else.
