1. Amazon's got a pretty huge sale on Nintendo DS and PSP games, with 50% off on DS titles like Wario: Master of Disguise, Diddy Kong Racing, and Nintendogs and PSP titles like Chili Con Carnage and Mortal Kombat. I'm temtped by the 25% off Resident Evil: Deadly Silence just for the sheer incongruity of playing a survival horror game on the DS.

2. The lines at the Atlanta Airport have gotten so bad, they've forced poor newspaper writers to use gratuitous apostrophes !

2.5 ETA: They fixed it. But the last sentence started At it's peak. . .

3. Next weekend, Cambridge area folks can watch the unusual act of three house being moved.

4. I bet that Curt Schilling doesn't get forced to edit his blog when he bitches about his team. But Jeff Samardzija isn't at that level yet.

5. Yet another Tower Defense Game! This one features a sci-fi setting, and some fun options (including "mission"-based gameplay).

6. Yesterday was Flagg Day. I hope that all of you took a moment to mourn the murder of General Lawrence Flagg at the hands of the nefarious mercenary Sebastian Bludd.

7. Lea Hernandez has posted her amazing steampunk graphic novel Cathedral Child online!

8. The MPAA: Still run by assholes.

9. Ditto the RIAA.

10. Lousiana looks to be ready to join the civilized world in banning cockfighting.

RE 2 & 2.5: I don't see it! Could it have been corrected?
(or am I going blind?)

You mean that it was still legal to hold a cockfight in Louisiana? Unreal... I'm glad they finally caught up with the rest of us.

I think they fixed the apostrophe - was it an it's where they should have had an its?

At least they corrected it - but how embarassing that it saw the light of day in a major publication. And I suppose if it made it into the print edition, they can't take it back.

2. Oh joy. I bet even the lines for the elite passengers(that would be me *grin*) are hellacious. Overall I think Hartsfield is fairly good, but they seriously fall down on the quality of service in the security area. The whole thing desperately needs restructuring.

9. What a fucking dick.

2.5: Maybe my browser is looking at a cached copy, because it still says "At it's peak."

re 4: thats because jeff samardzija didnt pitch a game with a painted red sock.

is it bad that when i first saw 6, my thoughts were along the lines of "wait, why does randall flagg get a holiday?"

You have to ponder if General Flagg was related to the Korean War-era Colonel Flagg.

Makes you wonder...

Re: #8 - I, too, think it's high time we stopped tormenting those poor innocent bank robbers and started attacking real crime: people who download movies over the internet.

The AJC article: It's back. I just clicked the link and the last sentence reads "At it's peak Wednesday morning, the line stretched well outside the terminal onto the sidewalks."
