Speed Racer returns this fall, telling the story of Speed's son (presumably Speed, Jr.), the Mach 6, and a robotic Chim-Chim.

Unfortunately, Spritle has not died a painful and lingering death, judging from the article.

When I watched Speed Racer regularly, there was only a Mach 5. Oh my, how things change. He looks different now, too. Speedier.
