Wow.

I'm stunned at this one. Benoit was one of the wrestlers who got me back into watching wrestling in the '90s. This is heartbreaking.

I think he was the last one that I still really, really enjoyed watching ... and ... well, he looked like my dad. A lot like my dad. I didn't really know anything about him other than what I saw on screen, but he was always one of my favorites. So talented, so tenacious, so creative, so much fun to watch.

Rest In Peace, Chris. You were one of the good ones.

Evidently, you weren't really one of the good ones, you were just better at hiding it than most.

My heart goes out to the Benoit family.

Yeah. Wow. My husband, Q (who is a pro wrestler, himself), once got to work with Chris Benoit. Q's pretty stunned tonight.

I'm stunned at the death of Benoit and I really don't want to believe the reports of a double murder suicide.

That's horrible. So sad. Even if he wasn't always that gifted on the mic, he'll always be one of the great workers. RIP Benoit.

Wow, that is horrible. My brother and [livejournal.com profile] capnredbeard have been wrestling fans forever, so I'm at least familiar with some of the players. How sad for the family. Especially his two surviving kids.

Hell of a shock. He seemed like one of the more stable wrestlers in the WWE.

I have to say I wasn't impressed with the taste of the WWE web-meisters. I went to the WWE site and tried to view the various tributes from the other wrestlers. The first one was preceded by "a word from our sponsors", which was an ad for the WWE shop - concentrating on "Dead Man" (as in the Undertaker) T-shirts! Can we say minus several million points?
