2. The AL will host the World Series. I'm shocked and excited about the results of the All-Star Game. Oh, wait. I'm bored and not the least bit surprised. Sorry.
3. Based on the ReaderCon reports, I appear to have been the only con attendee to not have eaten Awesome Korean Barbecue this past weekend. This is something that needs to change next year (assuming the con's located in Burlington).
4. Yet another Amazon movie sale. This time, it's 45-55% off movies ranging from Imagine Me and You, Thank You for Smoking, and Bandidas to quality material like Grandma's Boy, The Ringer, and Big Momma's House 2.
5. Owl meets Jack-in-the-box, gets real thin. Link ganked from boingboing.
6. Assuming no more flight delays, by the time I get home tonight, we'll have am0usegrrl there! Yay!

8. Free one-year sub to The Sporting News. It's been a while since I've seen one of these offered (my SN subscription was actually down to less than a year!).
9. Speaking of free, K'Nex is offering a free sample kit to kids ages 5-12. Our daughter's 12, which means a free kit forme her.

Date: 2007-07-11 03:31 pm (UTC)I've taken the dubious step of ascending into HCO pasta; I'm hoping that I can at least match the best NS11 HCO I did with no skills at all (19 days, as sprawl) with 25+ HPs in NS13, but considering that there still have not been any all-NS13 HCOs (the leaderboard for hardcore oxygenarian is still empty), this may take quite a while.

Date: 2007-07-11 05:35 pm (UTC)My primary theory is that all the people who could have done an all-NS13 HCO by now have been doing other paths instead in the interest of exploring the new content. On the other hand, Deimos, whose fastest NS11 HCO was 7 days, is over 20 days into an HCO that he started before NS13, and he says that he has been heavily utilizing spoilers so as not to waste turns. That worries me a bit, but, heh, we'll see, I guess. If nothing else, maybe I will get to be on a leaderboard (or at least the class sub-board) for a little while when I finally finish the run.
