The movie was cute. It's like the way the show used to be before Dana Gould was brought in. That said, it was also no more than what you'd expect out of maybe a three-part episode from the good years. So put it into the X-Files camp of unnecessary films, instead of the South Park camp of films that actually enhance the ongoing TV show in ways that couldn't be done on television.

If you can't figure out that that there's stuff to see during and after the credits, you probably shouldn't even bother seeing the movie. Interestingly, the very final one reminded me of an entirely different animated show associated with The Simpsons.

Definitely recommended if you don't have the patience to wait for the DVD release (and it's even more worthwhile if you have a gift card, as I did), and definitely funnier than anything from the last five years of the TV show.

Supposedly the closing credits had a gag with Kang and Kodos critiquing the movie, but it got cut. I would have liked to have seen/heard it.

I've noticed Dana Gould's name in the credits of the recent, worser seasons, but have wondered whether he deserved the blame for the slippage in quality.
