Latest remake: Enter the Dragon.

Redone with a "noir" feel to it.

Fuck that.

The only EtD remake that was ever needed was "A Fistful of Yen" from Kentucky Fried Movie.

Otherwise, EtD is amazing because of Bruce Lee. The plot, frankly, is every crime and martial arts movie ever made: a hero is dropped into the midst of the bad guys, loses friends and partners along the way, and finally defeats the bad guy and brings down his operation. Hell, there are seven James Bond movies with the same plot. What made it special was Lee's amazing charisma and the fight scenes.

Call it something else. But Enter the Dragon will always be a Bruce Lee vehicle.

This thing sounds like it's gonna have truckloads of lame and suck.

Not like The Pick of Destiny.

Damn it! Can't they leave me just one unsullied childhood memory? That was the first kick-up I ever watched.

What is this latest trend of movie remakes? Don't they have enough original scripts.

Nothing good will come out of this. x_x

Now I'm trying to think of a good name for a noir/martial arts mash up. Sadly Ronin, while perfect, would probably be considered overused. Anyone know what the Chinese equivalent would be?

Oh my god...

Disney should see that they made a cute live action Snow White already... where Snow becomes Syndney and the dwarves become a nerd fraternity...

Snow White raised by monks??!?!?! WHATTT!!?!?

Um.

The description of the movie the guy wants to make doesn't actually sound much like Enter the Dragon. I mean, it sounds like it could be a perfectly acceptible movie for its genre, but it doesn't have anything to do with the Bruce Lee movie. And the title they're going for is "[VERB] the Dragon", but it's still a distinct title.

So why the hell is he calling it a remake? It's NOT.

I thought 'Mortal Kombat: The Movie' was already a remake of 'Enter the Dragon'?

The only way it could work would be if they got Tony Jaa.

I don't even understand how it's a "remake"...

American actor as the star... create a NEW action star as the monk?

Huh?

What monk? Who what now?

These idiots are talking out of their ass, thinking it'll help the film, not hinder it.

Best part about it, is we may NEVER see the film if they don't find someone to do it. It sounds like it's still in script stage at this point and not even green lot.

Variety is getting lazy and publishing whatever someone says.

Disney doing a 'live' snow white... with the following mods --

Plot Summary: It centers on a 19 century british girl who is raised in Hong Kong. Once she finds out she is destined to defeat something sinister, she is trained by seven Shaolin monks to do battle against the force of evil.
